Our Story

Crafted with Meaning

Mor Sinai Judaica is a boutique Jewish arts studio from Israel, founded by army reservists turned artisans. We handcraft luxury Judaica using some of the world’s finest materials, from Tallit and Tefillin bags to challah covers and 972 silver jewelry.

Our Beginning

Built from Purpose

From volunteering after school to elite army service, global high tech careers, and reserve duty, our path was always driven by purpose. Out of that journey, Mor Sinai Judaica was born to create luxury handcrafted pieces that carry Jewish and Israeli identity with pride.

The Beginning

How It All Started

At just 13 years old, Hillel began studying in an anthroposophic school where craftsmanship is treated as a path to character. He traveled to Germany to learn the foundations of leatherwork from European masters — the cuts, the stitches, the patience. What started as a teenage apprenticeship became a lifelong language. Decades later, every piece we make still carries those early lessons.

Service & Soul

Where Paths Met

Before the army, both of us chose a year of service — Hillel and Nadav, two young men from similar values, drawn to the same kind of work. We volunteered nearby each other, working the land and mentoring at-risk youth. It was here, between fields and shared meals, that our paths first crossed. We didn't know it yet, but a friendship — and one day a partnership — was being planted.

Army Career

Elite Units Brotherhood

We served in Israel's elite military units — first as conscripts, then as career officers. Years of training taught us what no school could: that excellence is built in the smallest details. That precision saves lives. That brotherhood is forged, not given. Every habit of discipline, every standard of "good enough is not enough," lives on in our workshop today.

Hi-Tech Global Career

The World

After the army, life pulled us into the global tech world. A startup carried us across continents — Montreal, Toronto, New York, Italy, and back to Israel. We learned how international business breathes, how brands speak across cultures, and how craftsmanship is valued differently around the world. Quietly, the seed of something of our own was already growing.

Return to Reserve

October 7th

On October 7, 2023, everything changed. We were called back to reserve duty and spent hundreds of days in uniform alongside our brothers. In the quiet between missions, the questions sharpened: What do we want to build? What do we want to leave behind? The answer was clear — a return to our roots, to leather, to Jewish identity, to objects made with intention. Mor Sinai Judaica was born.

The Studio

Our First Jaffa Studio

We opened our boutique studio in the heart of Jaffa, Tel Aviv — a city where layers of history, faith, and craft sit side by side. Here, every tallit bag, tefillin case, and challah cover begins its life. Cut by hand. Stitched with care. Each one carrying both the precision we learned in service and the soul we found in tradition

Now

Looking Forward

Today, Mor Sinai pieces travel from our Jaffa workshop to homes around the world — synagogues in New York, Shabbat tables in Los Angeles, weddings in London. Every order is still made by us, by hand, in Israel. The story we've lived — craft, service, brotherhood, return — is woven into every stitch. And it's only the beginning.
